Tips For Rebound

There are many soccer tips and tricks that can be applied to any kind of soccer, including passing techniques, attacking techniques and defense.

A majority of those will apply in rebound soccer, but often in a more close-quarters scenario. Decisions about player positioning and passing are often almost instant due to the time it takes for a defender to hunt down and jockey the attacking opponent. The 2 most important tips for rebound soccer utilize the nets, and getting the ball around defenders to attain a shooting position.

Back Net Rebound

The back net rebound technique is used when your defender wants to get the ball to the "striker" who is already up the front. It is best used when being blocked by in your own half of the court.

The ball is to be launched up and forward with as much as force as possible aiming for the top half of the back net, at the other end of the court ABOVE the goals. The ball will bounce back over the head of the goalie landing outside his box, hopefully near the feet of your striker to take the shot.

Side Net Rebound

This is used many times throughout the game and at any time. It is one of the most useful techniques in rebound soccer.

It is used when a defender is approaching the attacker quickly and is about to start jockeying them, forcing the pass.

The defender in blue will time the rebound so that the ball (here in yellow) is kicked forward against the net as the defender gets as close as possible without inhibiting the shot. The attacker will dash around the defender (while they are turning around) to the opposite side of the defender to get the ball behind them.
